Invitation to Alaska
Dear, Sweet Purl.
As promised here are a few photos from my families cottage in Port Protection, Alaska.
Here is a shot of sunset from the deck. This is literally taken from our wood-burning hot tub. The best way to handle it is to get the fire started to heat the water in the hot tub, then go fishing (or whatever), then the water is about 104 degrees F by the time you get home.
This is a shot of our floating boat dock during a party. We only have two boats, so it's usually not that crowded. There is a government dock just past it that always has quite a few professional fishing boats on it. I think you once said you love looking at boats and the rugged men who work them. (?) You'll have your fill of them here, right from the privacy of your own deck.
And here is a typical pre-lunch activity: Pulling up dungeonous crab pots for lunch. What? Crab again? And they are so sweet you don't need butter or anything else to enhance the savory flavor.
